Verification Call Privacy Notice
Effective Date: September 4, 2026
This Verification Call Privacy Notice (“Call Notice”) describes how Recheck, Inc. (“Recheck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you participate in a verification call conducted through Recheck’s platform. Verification calls are recorded video calls conducted by an automated agent that speaks with you and responds to what is said, arranged by a company involved in your home improvement or solar project — such as your finance company or contractor (the “Partner”) — in connection with your transaction with that company, for purposes the Partner determines.
This Call Notice supplements Recheck’s Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference and continues to apply to information collected during verification calls except where this Call Notice provides more specific terms. If this Call Notice conflicts with the Privacy Policy with respect to verification calls, this Call Notice controls.
This Call Notice applies to everyone who appears on, or can be heard during, a verification call, including homeowners and other consumers, and any sales representatives or other participants.
Information we collect during a verification call
- Audio and video recording. The entire call, including both audio and video of all participants, is recorded and stored.
- Transcripts. We may create a written transcript of the call.
- Identity and transaction information. The Partner may provide us with information about you and your transaction so we can conduct the call, such as your name, property address, and the terms of your contract or financing. You may also provide or confirm information verbally during the call.
- Biometric information. As described below, we may analyze biometric data derived from the call video and audio.
- Technical and location information. We may collect technical information about your device and connection, and your location at the time of the call.
- Consent records. We record the fact and time of your consent to the notices presented before the call begins.
Biometric information
Recheck may process biometric information in connection with verification calls. Our automated analysis may use biometric data derived from the call video and audio — such as facial geometry and voiceprints — of the people who appear on the call, to verify that participants are who they claim to be, to detect potential fraud, misrepresentation, or other misconduct, and to improve Recheck’s platform. Biometric data created for this analysis is retained and destroyed as described in the Retention section below.
Recheck’s collection, use, retention, and destruction of biometric identifiers and biometric information, as defined in the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, 740 ILCS 14/1 et seq., is governed by the Biometric Data Policy contained in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Call Notice and applies to verification calls. By agreeing to this Call Notice before your call begins, you provide the written release described in the Biometric Data Policy with respect to the biometric processing described in this section.
Automated analysis
We use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to conduct the call, and may use them to analyze the recording and transcript, including the images, audio, and statements of everyone who appears or can be heard. The analysis assesses whether the call fulfilled the purpose for which the Partner arranged it, such as confirming that participants are who they claim to be or that you understood the transaction, and looks for indications of fraud, misrepresentation, or other misconduct. Recheck does not decide whether your transaction proceeds. We provide the results of the verification, and may provide the recording and transcript, to the Partner, which makes its own decisions about your transaction.
How we use this information
We may use the information collected during verification calls for any lawful purpose, including to:
- Verify the identity of call participants;
- Assess whether the call fulfilled the purpose for which the Partner arranged it;
- Detect and prevent fraud, misrepresentation, and other misconduct;
- Provide the results of the verification to the Partner;
- Maintain records of the verification, including for legal, compliance, and dispute-resolution purposes; and
- Operate, evaluate, and improve the verification service.
How we share this information
- With the Partner. The Partner that arranged your call receives the results of the verification, and may receive the recording, transcript, and analysis of your call.
- With service providers. We use third-party service providers that help us conduct, record, transcribe, analyze, and store verification calls.
- As required by law. We may disclose information pursuant to a subpoena, court order, governmental inquiry, or other legal process.
- Through Recheck’s other services. We may use information collected or derived from verification calls in Recheck’s other services and share it with the companies and individuals that use those services.
Retention
- Biometric data is retained and destroyed as provided by the Biometric Data Policy in our Privacy Policy.
- Call recordings, transcripts, and analysis results are retained for as long as needed for the purposes described above and to meet our legal and contractual obligations.
- Consent records are retained as evidence of your authorization.
Your choices and rights
Participation in a verification call requires your consent to recording and to the biometric processing described above. You are free to decline; if you do, the call will not proceed, and you may ask the Partner about alternative ways to complete verification. You may revoke your biometric consent as described in the Biometric Data Policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal limits, including our obligations to retain verification records. To exercise these rights, or to ask questions about this Call Notice, contact us at [email protected].

We may update this Call Notice from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
